Finally fell asleep about 5am. Watched the first ever episode of Sharpes Rifles with a certain Mr Bean in the lead role. I had forgotten just how good they are as dramas. Add to the fact that the regiment Sharpe is supposed to have been in is now part of my old Regiment (South Essex for Sharpe, 1st Bn. Royal Anglian for me) and it makes it more interesting to me at least.
Cat napped on the couch until 11am, and am now watching Wainwrights walks. The lakes are so beautiful and worth the visit any time of year.
I have to say, I am sorely tempted to get a pair of hiking boots and have a go at some of the "easier" routes in the lake district with Sue & Robert to try and improve both my general fitness and to improve the strength in my ankle.
Its Rosh Hashanah from sundown today! So its off to Aunt Paulas for a fantastic feed after Robert has had his golf lesson tonight, before collapsing (hopefully) into bed. Its my favourite holiday of the jewish calender, simply because everyone gets together and just enjoys the time spent.
Full house tonight though.
Paula, Robert Sr., Michael & Rochelle with Sam & Leah, Harvey & Sandy with both girls, my Father in Law Stephen and us 4.
Well, thats it for now. Might blog again later from dinner...
